New course on New Business Models

Faculty of Engineering - University of Southern Denmark

Today, I started a new course in our Innovation and Business bachelor program (see http://sdu.dk/en/Uddannelse/Bachelor/Innovation_and_Business for an overview of the program). The course, which is new to our program and also new to me, deals with "New Business Models" (NBM) and is part of a larger module on "Making Business" in which the students work on a semester project to develop an electronic product or related production process along with a relevant business model.

Call for papers: Special issue on "Leveraging User Innovation"

Marcel Bogers is co-editor, together with Ian McCarthy and Leyland Pitt from Simon Fraser University, of a special issue that deals with "Leveraging User Innovation: Managing the Creative Potential of Individual Consumers" in the Journal of Engineering and Technology Management.

Article runner-up for Best Paper Award (update)

The article "Managing Distributed Innovation: Strategic Utilization of Open and User Innovation" by Marcel Bogers and Joel West has been selected at runner-up for the Tudor Rickards and Susan Moger Best Paper Award 2012, which is awarded to the best article published last year in Creativity and Innovation Management.

Open innovation review accepted at Journal of Product Innovation Management (update)

The article "Leveraging External Sources of Innovation: A Review of Research on Open Innovation" (with Joel West) has been accepted for publication at the Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM).

The article “Users as innovators: A review, critique, and future research directions”, authored by Marcel Bogers, Allan Afuah and Bettina Bastian, published in the Journal of Management (July 2010, Vol. 36, No. 4, pp. 857-875) has now been cited more that 100 times according to Google Scholar (see http://bit.ly/bogers-scholar).
