New course on New Business Models
Today, I started a new course in our Innovation and Business bachelor program (see http://sdu.dk/en/Uddannelse/Bachelor/Innovation_and_Business for an overview of the program). The course, which is new to our program and also new to me, deals with "New Business Models" (NBM) and is part of a larger module on "Making Business" in which the students work on a semester project to develop an electronic product or related production process along with a relevant business model. The NBM course then focuses on better understanding what (new) business models mean in theory and practice, and it should also enable to student to develop the business model in their semester project. Besides, a "new" feature of the course is that it integrates a so-called MOOC (massive open online course) on a closely related topic, namely the Coursera course on New Models of Business in Society (www.coursera.org/course/bizsociety).
The syllabus of the NBM course can be found here: www.marcelbogers.com/Documents/NBM_Syllabus_2013a.pdf
